Hello!

Hey what a good job! :) I like both the text and the graphic design. That's
really and definitively promising :).

Concerning the text, I have few minor corrections:

* “DoudouLinux is translated into more than 10 languages” → ok the website is
not up to date – so it seems you don't read the weekly newsletter :p, we now
have officially 15 languages!

* “we want to have own, distinctive logo and/or mascot” → logo *and* mascot –
we want to be able to split them whenever needed

* “They appear often in DoudouLinux, so it will be great if the logo correlates
well with them.“ → they *will* appear often in DoudouLinux, so it will be great
if the *mascot* correlates well with them.

If nobody else is complaining during next day, I propose that you send the
message in the evening (GMT+4 by Boobaloo's home) to the OCAL managers.

We'll then have to decide how much time the contest is supposed to last, write
the rules and define how the winner will be elected :p. I propose the following
election process:

1. if there are many submissions, a reduced comity of 3 persons is charged to
preselect say 10 logos and 10 mascots
2. a first vote is leading to 3 finalist logos and 3 finalist mascots
3. the final vote elects the winner for the logo and the winner for the mascot,
(s)he can be the same person of course!

For 1) I propose that the comity is strictly composed of DDL members, and to
choose them on the widest world area: Benheng, Richard and me.

For 2) I propose that the comity is composed of the main contributors of the
project: Benheng, Boobaloo, Denis, Elisa, Gérald, Marian, Nava, Sergey,
Richard, Yago and I (please complain if I forgot your name…). If OCAL managers
agree to provide 2-3 voters, I'd be glad to accept them. Each voter would have
2 points to distribute for the preferred logo(s), and 2 other points for the
mascot(s). Note that participants of the contest may vote (Boobaloo, Elisa,
Nava) but not for their own creation :p.

For 3) I propose that only DDL contributors vote. Participants of the contest
from the DDL team can decide to not vote if they fear that we find their
actions suspect :p, at their convenience. Each voter has only one point for the
logo, one for the mascot.

Voters may abstain but cannot give proxy of their vote (ie. you cannot collect
votes to get more voting power :p). Finally in case of equality, I propose I
own the ultimate decision power.

We need to be ready with the rules to launch the contest officially on OCAL.
Comments/suggestions are welcomed!

JM.
