Hello!

There are several important news this week. First the new intermediary CD
updates are officially online. Second we have a new demonstration language.
Third the logo/mascot contest is started. Forth, I'm nearly ready to switch to
a work copy of our website and let artists express themselves on our website
;). Quite a lot!

Cheers,
JM.

PS: if you feel that I forgot to mention an important news, feel free to answer
this mail with your scoop!

Team
=====

* We welcomed a new Arabic contributor on Transifex: Hajer (Fayçal's wife :) ).

Welcome to our project!

Organization
===========

* I published our planning until next release (see message
https://mail.gna.org/public/doudoulinux-dev/2011-04/msg00055.html). Please make
noise if you feel that you can help! ;) Especially I know that some of you have
coding/sysadmin skills, so don't be shy.

* I posted the draft for the statutes of our future association “The DDL
foundation” (see message
https://mail.gna.org/public/doudoulinux-dev/2011-04/msg00059.html). We're now
almost ready to launch it! :)

* I created an Identi.ca account to report about the project life. Nava is
looking at doing the same on Facebook.

Translations
===========

* We identified with Fayçal the bug of Transifex preventing from translating
online when the language is written from right to left (see message
https://mail.gna.org/public/doudoulinux-dev/2011-04/msg00093.html).

* New translations have been submitted for Arabic (Hajer), Greek (Panos),
Italian (Lorenzo), Polish (Filar), Spanish (Yago) and Swedish (Lars).

CDROM
=======

* Nava explored the Wuby idea (see message
https://mail.gna.org/public/doudoulinux-dev/2011-04/msg00086.html). This is
related to the ticket https://gna.org/task/?7255 which was already opened :).

* Updates for 8 languages have been published: Chinese, Dutch, Greek, Italian,
Persian, Polish, Spanish and Swedish.

* New demonstration CD for Hebrew.

We now have 15 official languages and 6 “demonstration” languages :).

Graphics
========

* The logo contest on OCAL (OpenClipArt Library) is on! :)

* Elisa released a first website wireframe (see message
https://mail.gna.org/public/doudoulinux-dev/2011-04/msg00057.html). This
defines the future structure of our website, visually and organizationally.

Website
=======

* I'm completing tests to have a work copy of our website (the current Spip
site) and an official static version (currently available at
http://www.doudoulinux.org/test/). Explanations are available in the message
https://mail.gna.org/public/doudoulinux-dev/2011-04/msg00107.html. I had to
change some links in pages so don't worry if you see that many pages were
modified during the last 2 days.

This will solve ticket https://gna.org/task/?7348.

* Elisa started to look for a way to have a precise report about the
translation status of each page of our website (up to date, needs update, on
the road, missing). Spip has a tool to do this but I fear that it is to manual
to be really useful.

Communication
=============

* Richard made his one man show ;) at the Maracaibo FLISOL event on 9-April
(see http://flisol.org.ve/). We're impatient to know how this was and to see
him in action ;).

* Of course a lot of communication started around the logo/mascot contest :).

Support
=======

* Richard proposed to look at Remastersys to do a clean DDL install on disk
(see https://gna.org/task/?7372). This was a good idea since I've been able to
make it work with few code lines (see
http://blog.doudoulinux.org/post/2011/04/09/Clean-install-of-DoudouLinux-on-hard-disk).
