Hello, To go on with the creation of an association to back our project, we need to setup a first administration board. The statutes are not definitively written and not translated at all, but we can already start to list people who would like to have an active role in our association by participating into the administration board.
First of all, few words about the role of the association. The thread https://mail.gna.org/public/doudoulinux-dev/2011-04/msg00059.html talked about its mission and its ways of action. The association will have the following roles (not necessarily exhaustive): * pay for regular services, like web hosting and maintenance * help our most active contributors access the hardware/products/tools they need for their work * provide promotion supports (leaflets, posters, CD's, USB keys, etc.) * help our most active contributors participate into meetings, salons, shows, etc. * pay for exceptional services to bring a quick and high value added to our project (development, drawings, music, etc.) To decide what kind of expenses the association will make, what action to start, what meeting to participate into, what equipment to provide to who, etc., the statutes say that the association will have an administration board of 2 to 6 members. Regular (online) meetings should then be organized between board members. Board members are elected for 3 years but a third of the board is re-elected each year (1 or 2 members/year). For the first board we'll have to agree about who stays 1, 2 and 3 years (board members can be re-elected of course). Please let me know if you are interested in becoming a board member of our future association. Cheers, JM. _______________________________________________ Doudoulinux-dev mailing list [email protected] https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/doudoulinux-dev
