Hi Lars,

You're right, it's not traditional PO files but Qt Linguist files. You can edit 
them with the application of the same name.

I fear I haven't written this detail somewhere in our documentation pages. 
Please, if you have a couple of minutes, have a look at our online pages 
related to translating and create a ticket on http://team.doudoulinux.org/ if 
it is missing :).
