Hello! What a week! Many articles published, many communication events, many technical stuff on the road, while our translators keep translating and translating :). The first RC1 CD's for Gondwana Update 1 are currently landing on our daily build section. Well, a lot of work on the go!
All the best, JM. PS: if you think that I forgot to mention an important news, feel free to answer this mail with your scoop! Team ===== * No news. Organization =========== * Mailing lists: I found out how to force registration :). I may not have registered all the concerned people on each list though. * Redmine: there are still tickets to be moved from our former project management software Gna. Please move/close the tickets you're owning, unless their history is huge. Translations ============ If you want to be ready for the first Gondwana update, please fill in your translations for next week-end! * Many translations were submitted on Transifex for Italian (Lorenzo), Malay (Puretech), Polish (Filar), Russian (Sergey) and Telugu (Praveen). * 3 resources on Transifex were updated or created [1][2]. Small improvements are still required but the tool should be ready for Gondwana 1.1. * Gérald is still doing deep investigations to setup a way to build DDL on ARM processors. While the process is now clear, tools are now being tested. His conclusions are currently that scripts need to be written to do the job and that we won't be able to provide a single disk image for all ARM hardwares, which makes things more complex. * I uploaded our very first build for Latvian and Telugu one week ago[2]. They were not up to date concerning translations but are intended to test the environment (keyboard layout and so). * In the meanwhile, I fixed and added my tools to interact with Transifex [3]. I'm now able to build all our languages with their latest translations available. Release candidates for Gondwana update 1 will be uploaded regularly this week to let you test them :). English, Greek, Malay and Russian are already online. I started with the most translated languages. If you still don't know where to get the latest builds, just look at our dailybuild section: http://download.doudoulinux.org/dailybuild/. Website ======= * The issue concerning robot indexation of “spip/” instead of “web/” has now been solved [1]. * New French articles thanks to Elisa and me: “La version en développement en bref”, “Nouvelles applications”, “Pourquoi utiliser DoudouLinux ?”. * New German articles thanks to Romain and Sergey: “DoudouLinux Logo”, “Übersetzungsprozeß”, “Schreiben eines Artikels”, “Anmerkungen zu dieser Version”, “Lernspiele”, “Maus-Einstellungen”. * New Malay articles thanks to PureTech: “Dapatkan DoudouLinux”, “Muat Turun”, “Me ngapa saya patut mencuba DoudouLinux?”, “Hubungi kami”, “DoudouLinux, komputer pilihan mereka!”. * Sergey wrote 2 news about Debian collaboration and new releases [2]. * We still need a news to announce Malay, German, Telugu and Latvian translations. Where are the volunteers? :) [1] https://mail.gna.org/public/doudoulinux-dev/2011-09/msg00024.html [2] https://mail.gna.org/public/doudoulinux-docs/2011-09/msg00021.html Communication ============= * DDL on Wikipedia: this is harder than expected :(. Salvatore asked help to keep the Italian DDL page away from removal [1]. Many ideas arose, suspense… * DDL on the radio! A short program talked about us on Classic 21, a national Belgian radio station [2]. As a result we also have a short post on the website of the Belgian Federal Police :). We also had an article on Le soir Magazine [3]. But this is not the end for Belgium, Xavier has additional contacts potentially interested in our project… [1] https://mail.gna.org/public/doudoulinux-dev/2011-09/msg00043.html [2] https://mail.gna.org/public/doudoulinux-dev/2011-09/msg00031.html [3] https://mail.gna.org/public/doudoulinux-dev/2011-09/msg00038.html Support ======= * No news. _______________________________________________ Doudoulinux-dev mailing list [email protected] https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/doudoulinux-dev
