Just a few words to say that if you don't know where to find the
configuration files of a particular application, you can just ask the
list! Usually they are contained in hidden directories, either directly
in user's home (eg “.gcompris”) or in the user's settings directories.
It may also just be a hidden file in user's home (eg. “.gweled”).

There are several user's settings directories, at least:

.config/
.gconf/apps/
.kde/share/apps/

Don't be shy if you can't find what you are looking for!
