Sounds good :). You should take care of not keeping empty or damaged
files in case of any failure in the whole backup process. As far as I'm
concerned, I'm already doing frequent backup of our website using the
files from the previously indicated directory:

http://download.doudoulinux.org/website/

The file "snapshot-*" is the website (Spip) database while
"spip-images-*" contains its images. My backup script runs everyday,
provided I turn my computer on in the day! I'm keeping every file I
download during one or two month, then only one per month during a year.
It is using 6 GB on my personal computer and can only increase! If
someone else can take care of Redmine backups, it would be nice :).

Oh yes, it would be great. If you can then easily install Redmine
(Debian server?) we can even setup a second team.ddl.org server ready to
start in case mine is down.

Currently only the web server is seen on the Internet. If you can't
duplicate the database using the SQL dumps, I'll open a port for mySQL.

Well, not yet… But this is a good idea, a mailing list for system
monitoring. I suppose there won't be so many readers of this list, it is
better to have a dedicated one.
