Hello, Now that Redmine is running again, I spent few hours in cleaning its tickets and reorganizing them with the help of Sergey concerning bug reports [1]. As a result I introduced several new releases in Redmine, the two nearest ones in time are:
* 2013-02 [2], the latest development version based on Debian Squeeze, kind of v1.99 * 2.0 Hyperborea [3], aka. 2013-05, the successor of Gondwana, planned for April/May I should also add updates of Hyperborea, but will see for this later, when it'll be time. [1] http://team.doudoulinux.org/projects/doudoulinux-cd/issues/gantt [2] http://team.doudoulinux.org/projects/doudoulinux-cd/versions/14 [3] http://team.doudoulinux.org/projects/doudoulinux-cd/versions/15 The objectives of 2013-02 are mainly to ship a working new installer and a working persistence tool. The objectives of 2.0 Hyperborea are mainly to solve several internationalization issues, to redesign our website and to make a deep update of its content. I'm planning to freeze our website by the publication of 2013-02 so that we get enough time to rework and translate its content. Note that tasks related to the website are not all in Redmine yet. Also the idea is to publish Hyperborea “as is”, with its main issues solved though! It won't be a perfect release (can a release be perfect?) but it will be a large step forward compared to Gondwana. Of course any help would be appreciated. If you believe you can work on a ticket or more, if you have additional ideas or criticism, please feel free to contact me or to expand this thread. Concerning the development version, after 2013-02 is out, it will move to Debian Wheezy quite quickly I hope. We need this change for our ARM™ releases and also because I'd like to stick to Debian release schedule closer than we are currently doing, particularly because of device drivers for recent hardware. This means, yes, that Hyperborea should not live so long a time, maybe one year or even less. -- Cheers, JM.
