There are system-wide menu settings for lxlauncher in /etc/xdg/ but we're using
per-user menus in DDL, this is a custom patch we apply to lxlauncher. Users
have their own menu in the file "$HOME/.config/lxlauncher/launcher.menu". This
is an XML file quite self-explanatory.

Icons that are shown on the desktop can be selected either using their file
name or the categories registered for each application. Available icons are
located in /usr/share/applications/. Either you adapt the lxlauncher menu file
to your needs, or you change icon files in /usr/share/applications/. However,
changes in /usr/share/applications/ may be later reverted by system updates. If
you don't want to bother with package file diverting, which we're doing in DDL,
it is safer to adapt the lxlauncher menu file.

Of course you can write for our blog, you'll be welcome :). It is open to any
motivated contributor!

Cheers,
JM.
