Hello! As indicated in a previous mail on our dev's list in early August [1], we are planning to publish an official update of DoudouLinux 1.0 Gondwana for mid September. This update will not bring much bug fixes nor technical improvements, the main objective is to provide better translations.
[1] https://mail.gna.org/public/doudoulinux-dev/2011-08/msg00014.html You, as translators, are then all concerned by the release process. The priority is CD translation, on Transifex – or with your own translation tools depending on your tastes :). Of course if you're near the end for CD translation, starting our website translation is welcomed! In this case set the priority on the most important pages: home page, download, quick tour, configuration, FAQ. I'll start to grab all the translation files around the 12th September. As there are many CD's and USB keys, plus many new languages to come (Hungarian, Portuguese PT/BR, Malay, Danish, German, Telugu, Latvian – ouch!), the upload process will likely last 4 or 5 days. Supposing I start it on the 15th, the release update can be officially online around the 20th. As you may guess, in mid September I'll start to build and upload languages for which CD translations is completed. If you still have much translation work on your CD and believe you can nearly complete it but not before the 15th, just tell me so that I put your language in the latest positions in the queue. You'll then have nearly until the 20th :). Please note that there is *not* only text translations, we also have audio files to be translated. These messages can be downloaded from our SVN web interface [2]. You'll then have to send me the recorded audio files. If you don't know much of audio editing, don't bother with editing your audio files, I'll do it for you. I also believe that our tables of files to be downloaded will be difficult to read since we'll have 23 languages, CD + USB key. It would be nice to look at rewriting the download links [3]. [3] http://team.doudoulinux.org/issues/47 Thank you for your involvement. All the best, JM. _______________________________________________ Doudoulinux-docs mailing list Doudoulinux-docs@gna.org https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/doudoulinux-docs
