Hello Stuart! Thank you for your kind words :).
Indeed we are not using a standard LXDE session but a derived session. The LXDE session manager is used to create a new session called LXLauncher. It is in some extents LXDE with LXLauncher as a replacement for the desktop manager, which is pcmanfm in LXDE. If you want to learn more about our special session, please look at the package “lxlauncher-session” on our SVN repository: http://svn.gna.org/viewcvs/doudoulinux/packages/trunk/sessions/lxlauncher-session/ But this is not all :). We also have customized the application menu of LXLauncher. The default one does not really suit what we wanted to do. Although our application categories are similar, they are not identically named and icons are not exactly arranged the same way. Our menu is on SVN too: http://svn.gna.org/viewcvs/doudoulinux/live/trunk/config-base/chroot_local-includes/etc/skel/.config/lxlauncher/launcher.menu?view=log If you intend to design a similar interface for another public, please come and inform us regularly on our dev's mailing list. Our wish list contains the project to derive DoudouLinux for other public. Once children have grown for example, or once parents are convinced :).
