Hi,

I am new to Doudoulinux.

One month ago I started to search for a software to set up a computer to my
grandchildren. It will be a PC dedicated to children, shared by three kids.

After reading about several options I found that Doudoulinux is the best
software for my purpose.

Since the machine won't be used for other purpose I decided to use the
"installed" mode. I downloaded Godwana 1.1 and followed the installation
procedures. The process flows as expected and nowDoudoulinux boots from hard
disk and every thing seems to work fine... but data persistence.

My PC has a single 40GB disk.

Just installed Doudoulinux is using a small Fat16 partition less than 800MB and
the rest looks unallocated.

Then I tried to use the Activate Data Persistence option. It said that it will
use 100MB for data persistence (so it seems it is not seen the rest of the
disk). Just for test I accepted and it said data persistency was activated...
but is not true: after a reboot all saved work is lost. The rest of the disk
continued to be unallocated.

I repeated the whole installation procedure from scratch with the same result.

I am not a Linux guy... but I can follow technical instruction with no problem.

Please help!

Thanks.
