Hello!

Welcome to our project and thanks for your involvement :). Having
contributors who can write into several languages is good news. You'll
probably rather have to translate from English to French/Spanish since
our reference sources are usually in English, even when I'm writing on
our website. I prefer let other people translate into French while I'm
busy with other tasks.

NB: you are posting to the CD translation list. If you wish to help
translate our website, the list is doudoulinux-docs.

We have a dedicated section on our website about translating DDL
(DoudouLinux) into another language [1]. If you wish to help translate
the CD, you have to create an account on Transifex then request for
joining our project [2]. French is very close to 100% achievement while
Spanish still requires about 1500 messages to be translated although
some of them may be of low interest. Most of translations are using PO
files and few are using Qt TS files. You can translate them online as
well thanks to Transifex web tools.

If you wish to help translate our website, which is also used to produce
our PDF documentation, I have to create you an account on Spip, our
online edition software. You probably need to read our section dedicated
to writing pages on our website [3]. I inform on the docs list about
pages being created or modified. When pages are modified, a page diff is
available unless the page is indeed a section page (there is no history
for such page unfortunately).

If you look at the Spanish section of our website, I fear most of pages
are obsolete. Unless someone update them, I plan to add a banner for
languages that were translated in the good old time of DDL 1.x Gondwana.
The best way to know if a translated page is up to date is to compare
its history to the English page history. Spip is supposed to have a tool
that can do this for the whole website [4] but this is quite difficult
to use and doesn't seems so reliable.

I've recently started to update our website for the coming release 2.0
[5] so if you wish to start with our website, you need a Spip account as
soon as possible!
