Ciao JM, Aboutthe update/upgrade tool with the build“doudoulinux-2015-06-24-th.iso”.Iunderstand that a “live-rw…” persistence file is needed, but Icannot run the command to locate and empty the “home…” persistence file,so I just renamed it “live …” after creating the USB.Things work much better now.Thisis what we get: - theMain Screen Menu comes in Thai - the“change of activity” string comes in Thai - theTBO tutorial comes in Thai (but needs some font size and lines lengthadjustments) - allicons names are updated, except these nine: Kgeography,Khangman, Klettres, Kanagram, Marble, Potatoguy, Kturtle, Kigo andKolf and none of them is in the list provided by the “grep…”command. - Thedpkg… command shows the latest translation package (20150625nig). Pleasenote that on 24 June at 9pm GMT, I corrected a mistake in the name ofthe Piano Booster icon, so that the change could be included in the20150625 package. This change did not get updated the next day (25)at 6am GMT after running the update and rebooting, and it shows not updated in the “grep…” list.Idon't know if the non updated icon names above and the Piano Boostermissing change have anything to do with my just renamed persistencefile. It would be better to have a build that provides a proper“live-rw...” file. P.S.NowTanglet can be used. The squares have gone and the English lettersdo come out.Itonly generates non interpreted characters in the user name field ofthe score panel, but they can be easily eliminated and the user canwrite a name in both English and Thai.We will check if some other issues in the report have been solved.
Very goodwork anyway. Amedeo please visit:http://www.saomaiedufund.info On Wednesday, June 24, 2015 3:27 PM, "[email protected]" <[email protected]> wrote: Ciao Amedeo! I finally found several small issues that have a noticeable effect on DVD translation. I believe I can now build an ISO that is closer to the expected result :). Indeed I had rebuilt several DDL packages in April that I forgot to upload onto our Debian repository, so our build server was not able to use them. These packages were solving several issues with Thai, no luck… A new ISO will be available for testing during the day. I also discovered yesterday that the script that pushes many translations of the system at DVD boot (eg. the main menu) was not set to be executable on SVN while it was on my laptop. As a result, any ISO built using an SVN copy of our files could not update its translations. I've now changed the SVN executable property of the file and updates for "doudoulinux-l10n" packages should now fix that. Concerning icon updates, I figured out that the file containing the package version number was not up to date too. As a result, icon package updates were using an older version number than the current one and thus weren't seen as updates by the package manager… Note that the ISO being built is still using icons from April, you will need to update your system to get the icons you're expecting. NB: the new ISO will be available soon on our dailybuild page -> http://download.doudoulinux.org/dailybuild/realtime.php Cheers, JM. ----- Mail original ----- > De: "Amedeo Pignatelli" <[email protected]> > À: "Jean-Michel Philippe" <[email protected]>, "Doudoulinux-lang" > <[email protected]>, "Doudoulinux-dev" > <[email protected]> > Envoyé: Mercredi 17 Juin 2015 17:32:31 > Objet: Report on DDL Thai second build > > Dear JM, > > I attach a report on the recent Thai build.
