Dovecot v1.1 will have a better and easier support for shared mailboxes. But it should be possible to do what you want with v1.0 too: 1. Create symlinks to the shared maildir and make sure the filesystem permissions are wide enough so that all the users can read/write to the directories. 2. Enable ACL plugin and create dovecot-acl file limiting the users' access to read-only.
