I need to get a hand on the 'usual size of an index' to do some hard disk sizing. Is that possible at all? I know their size depends a lot on what the clients index.
Those clients will mostly be Outlook and Thunderbird and they will be doing more POP than IMAP if that helps to bring it down to some estimation.
