While I am still having trouble getting LDAP to work with dovecot, I
have successfully solved this particular problem.
My users login with their emails. The correct search base for
"[EMAIL PROTECTED]" is "ou=users, dc=lorentz, dc=com". I accomplish
this with:
base = ou=users, dc=%Dd
%Dd says to break up the domain portion of the login, changing "." to
", dc=". This does not put in a leading dc=, so you have to say "dc=%
Dd".
