Oh, right, local fs has the same problem, but not with fcntl. That's kind of weird. Then pretty much none of my ideas are valid. It rather sounds like the lock_method=dotlock handling code would be broken. But I just tried and can't reproduce this problem.. Can you reproduce it with imaptest (using a test account so it won't break your mails :)? http://imapwiki.org/ImapTest
