[Dovecot] Regenerate Index and Control Files

In a bad attempt of correcting a non-related error, I deleted, and 
recreated, the control and index directories; now, the only e-mail 
showing up, in all user mailboxes, is mail that has been delivered 
afterward.

How do I make dovecot regenerate the control and index files so that the 
old e-mail shows up?
