CB = Computer Board?  Please spell out acronyms the first time you use
them if they're not email related.  

But as a first guess, what happens if you try to open your Trash
folder and look inside it?  Can you make any changes to the Trash
folder directly?

Second, what version of dovecot are you running and on which OS?
Please also post details of your setup and your various settings.  Use
the 'doveconf' tool to dump your configuration.

Third, have you run out of disk space?  Do you see other problems on
this system?  Not being able to truncate a file either means you've
corrupted the file, or the filesystem is having problems.  But it's
hard to say when your logs.
