Hello John
The N is for namespace. Our experience has been that Doxygen does not
handle namespaces very well, but all our documented code is in just one. So
what we do is remove the namespace declarations before running the files
through Doxygen. I don't know if that's a help at all.

Hi again - no responses but I looked further and wrote this up on
StackOverflow (since it lets me upload pictures):

Basically I saw we have some .tlb files matching the names of those
non-namespaces and wonder if this could be the cause, somehow?

it's just a list. They don't show up in Class Index, only Class List.
I'd guess 'N' stands for namespace but I'm not sure the items listed
are namespaces - certainly not in the project being doxygenated. I do
link in some TAG files but I've done a search of the entire code base
and these aren't even appearing so I don't know where they're coming
from!
Regardless, they are just cluttering up the index and I wondered if I
can stop them being there. Any help figuring out what they ARE, etc,
would be welcome too... they're mostly called XXXLib where XXX is a
project we have so they're obviously linked to our source code but I
can't see where/how!
