What I see in the bug report is that there is a fix and that (I s'pose) release
of the fix is imminent. I think I'm going to do some code hunting and see if I
can locate the problem in my code and I'm going to take the "cowards way out"
and reload 1.8.3.

Just remembered, some console output might help as well.
Have also a look at Bug 701295 -Doxygen 1.8.4 goes into an endless loop
