Actually, I had decided to take a closer look at doxygen and Docbook. Since Docbook and the necessary tool chain looked a bit daunting, I decided to give doxygen a try first :-). But since I would not really be using it for what it was primarily intended (at least for this project), it could be doxygen is not the optimal tool...
