Given that Doxygen already supports Markdown I was wondering how much extra work it would be to do something along similar lines to support the more powerful Asciidoc (http://www.asciidoctor.org) markup.
There is already a doclet that allows Javadoc (https://github.com/asciidoctor/asciidoclet) to include Asciidoc in code documentation, so I would think that something similar could be done for Doxygen.
