Dear Developers,
there have been some „private“ mails on this issue, bypassing the dpp-devel
mailing list. Since there is no obvious reason to conceal the content of this
mails I will shortly summarize them. I will do this once, maybe twice. But
don’t get used to it.
· The failure Stefan described seems to be a different topic. I did not
fully understand the steps Norman took while trying to reproduce this.
· Norman encouraged Stefan to re-post his old patch fixing one of the
two issues to Gerrit. Stefan attached this patch to another mail. I pushed it
on his behalf [1] and tried to make up a proper commit message -- therefore it
should be reviewed, too.
I strongly recommend to all of you: please use the bugtracker. The tracker
features a comment history and attachments. A properly used tracker provides a
platform for traceable, vivid discussions and a simple store for related files,
such as logs.
It’s really hard to collectively solve a problem if part of the communication
happens on semi-public channels.
Franz

Hi Stefan,
does your description refer to the same program failure? Are you talking about
a session with two or three participants? Since you didn’t specify the order of
the single tasks the particular participants perform, the only point of
interest seems to me the non-deletion of the underlying files and folders. Did
I get you right?
Hi Maria and Norman,
did you already try to reproduce your two-participant version of the problem
with and without file and folder deletion? If the occurrence of the failure
does depend on this distinction, and Stefan already fixed this issue once upon
a time, I’m hopeful that this problem will be fixed soon.

Hi all,
Well I think this now the XYZ time I will mention that issue. Please commit
your Eclipse Log files.
The logs does not contain the same information as the CI does, the Eclipse
Exceptions from the
EDT are missing.
I already experienced that issue. One way to reproduce (and I hope this is only
the one way):
Run a session. Quit from that session. Delete the project, but not the content
on the underlying file system.
Ask for reinvite. Well I had fixed this issue about 6 month ago, but that patch
had never seen the production.

Under windows, the failure with two participants couldn’t be reproduced. It
works fine.
Also with three participants, it could no longer be reproduced. I tried
different orders to, but I can’t reproduce it again.

Norman.

Hi there,
I just followed your description (see below) and everything went fine. I also
tried different orders, but I wasn’t able to reproduce the described failure.
You mentioned earlier today, that you weren’t able to reproduce this behavior
either. Maria described a failure occurring with only two participants (what
sounds like a somewhat different issue) -- were you two able to reproduce that
failure?

--> FAILED, BOB can't finish the invitation (Windows)
Can you please explain in detail what is happening ?
ALICE tries to invite BOB and CARL.
BOB and CARL get an invitation.
Both accept the invitation.
BOB and CARL chooses the option to create a new project.
CARL can click on finish-Button. Wizard will be closed and CARL can work in the
session.
BOB tries to click on finish-Button, but he can’t finish the invitation.
Nothing seems to happen.
