Dear Saros developers,

as suggested by Franz this Thursday I herby send you the graphical representation of the users' understanding of how collaboration works for them - a mental model diagram.

How to read the diagram?
The diagram divided into an upper and lower part by a bold horizontal line. - The upper half is a representation on how users understand collaboration. This can be understood as their needs in a collaboration software. The first column is an explanation on how to read the model. So called "mental spaces" are divided by bold vertical lines. Mental spaces include "towers". Towers combine content-related behaviour ("tasks"). - The lower half is still empty, but should contain Saros features which meet the user's needs (see upper half).

How can I help?
I would be grateful if you have a minute or two to have a look at the diagram and write down
 - what aspects of Saros satisfy which user's needs.

Take the whole team as volunteers for one day and just try to fix bugs taken from the bug tracker. It will gain you a great insight of what Saros currently offers and what not.

Just one example. Collaborate between 12 and 16 o' clock. Now I am late. I have no choices to join the session without using another communication tool as long
as the host has not noticed that my online status changed and invites me.

And if you are in a creative mood then you may also write down
 - what could be future features of Saros to meet the users' needs.

Many thanks in advance for your help!

Best regards,
Maria Spiering

PS: Content of the attached file?
The diagram is splitted into two files due to its size. Therefore the zip file contains
 - two pdf files to have a look at the mental model diagram and
 - two Visio vsd files to edit the model.
