Dear Developers,

This release is special in various ways:
 * In principle there is only one single patch that *needs* to be in the
Release 12.7.27: The changes Norman made.
 * The last Release is not that far away, thus there aren't so many changes to
be tested.

The procedure for this Release will be as follows:
 * As soon as possible: Norman and his reviewers agree on a suitable version of
his changes [1]
 * Franz will be the RM, Norman will be the TM, Maria will be the ATM
 * After Franz created the change log and the release branch, Norman will do
the testing and Maria (because she works on a non-Windows system) will assist
and verify. This shouldn't require much effort and may be done remotely.
 * On Thursday (beginning 11 am) the Acceptance Test will take place.

Any objections?

Franz

Dear Developers,

as proposed last week, Norman's changes are essential for this week's Release.

@Norman: I'd by grateful for short summary of the current state of this topic.
@Sebastian: Did you manage to make any progress on your topic?

Two of the three "should-haves" were implemented by Stefan and can be reviewed
here [1], or have already been merged [2]. I will continue my review of [1]
later today.

I'll decide on the further procedure after Norman's feedback.

Best Regards,
Franz

Subject: [Dpp-devel] Planning for Release 12.7.27

Dear Developers,

the current Release 12.7.6 is nearly public and I want to release another Saros
version this July (12.7.27).

I consider the following points as essential (!), should-have (*) or
nice-to-have (-):

(!) Reworked dispatching of Activities -- Norman (already implemented, only
the patches are missing)
(*) Feedback for the invitee between Session Invitation and Project Invitation
-- ???
 (*) Remove "Scan Workspace" -- ???
(*) Deactivate experimental features by default -- ???
(-) More robust invitation of the third person -- Sebastian

Since we know exactly what changes will go into the next release, there's less
work for the Test Managers compared to the usual way of deciphering the Commit
Log to figure out what happened since the last release.

Any comments so far?

I would like to assign the Feedback task to Holger, and the
Removal/Deactivation Tasks to Stefan; I'm looking forward to reviewing your
patches.

Best Regards,
Franz
