Hi Arsenij,

For a start, one reason to keep this feature is its purpose. Taken from
Haferburg's Abstract:

A much requested feature for Saros was the integration of version control
systems (VCSs). [...] The initial implementation enables users to automatically
replicate the most common VCS operations like update or switch. When one
user performs such an operation, these actions can be automatically distributed
to the other participants of the session, thus extending the preexisting
synchronization mechanism of Saros from only the file contents to the
underlying state of the VCS.

So, which arguments do you provide in favor of removing this feature?

Franz

If you mean the Saros VCS Feature.

Well this feature was developed by A. Haferburg during his thesis.

If you want to remove features, ask Julia, Franz or Stephan for approval.

Sorry, I meant the VCS feature.

And on that note I also meant not disable, but rather remove.

Hello dear devs,

Does anyone use this feature? Is there a reason to keep it?

BR,
Arsenij
