(If there is > more than one theory, please feel free to share it with us). The reason is pretty simple. The trigger was wrongly configured. In my personal opinion it would be had sufficient to trigger to build on commit merge but using the GIT plugin to checkout the master instead of the REFSPEC etc. passed by the Gerrit Trigger.
As the Gerrit Trigger was wrongly configured: 1. it indeed triggered a build on commit merge BUT 2. it checked out some *pointless* revision (always the same) and so ending up building an outdated version of Saros which then was used for regression testing. How to prevent this ... well I think: if I personally do NOT think that I got the configuration right (because I do not understand most of the options) then I SHOULD at least ask someone who is familar in this stuff instead of doing trail and error stuff. > Please note: The question "Who did what?" is not part of this list. > > As soon as we agree on the status quo, we can discuss possible ways to reach > the desired state -- and eventually who will carry out the necessary steps. > > Finally, after the CI is back to normal, I want: > * An analysis of what happened in the first place. > * Ideas to prevent this in the future. > > Cheers, > Franz > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > _______________________________________________ > DPP-Devel mailing list > DPP-Devel@lists.sourceforge.net > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/dpp-devel ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ DPP-Devel mailing list DPP-Devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/dpp-devel
