Hi Nick,
Thank you for getting in touch!
Currently, we are in bottleneck situation in our IntelliJ development:
There is a tiny amount of work left to do that cannot be parallelized easily.
However, once this is done, we have an early limited pre-alpha edition of
Saros/I (as we call it) which we will assess both from the user’s and the
developer’s perspective.
We hope for a bunch of relatively isolated tasks to come out of this, so you
and other developers ready to help (Graham and colleagues: we did not forget
about you) can actually help.
If you want to take action right now, you could take a look at the patches of
Holger [1] – he is currently putting GUI-related patches for Saros/I up for
review and awaiting constructive feedback.
As I see, you already have a Gerrit account, so feel free to join the
discussion on the code level there.
By the way: What is your development background? Do you have any experience in
IntelliJ plugin development?
I’ll announce the news as soon as we get out of our bottleneck, and then, I am
sure, there will be many things to do :)
Cheers,
Franz
