Just share on file (e.g a Java File) and make sure you share the .settings 
folders.

If the remote project encoding differs (for what reason), almost every file on 
the remote side that is not part of the
partial share will be converted to byte garbage.

Message:
Lowered to prio 5. Seems to be an display issue. The file content is not
changed on the disk but instead is rendered incorrectly by the document
provider (which seems to use the encoding stored for that file which does
not match the byte content of that file and so displaying garbage).
