The check interval X is 10 seconds, so on average you have to wait 5 seconds.
Decreasing the timer in its current implementation will produce to much network
traffic (current traffic is already still to high with many opened editors).

If a file is missing on the client, then it takes up to 10 seconds before the
CW notifies the user via the warning triangle.
This is too slow and cumbersome. Instead the consistency watchdog should
immediately be informed, maybe even request the file directly from the host.
