Hi all, 1) I used in past programs like watznew (www.watznew.com), check&get (www.activeurls.com) and webmon (http://www.markwell.btinternet.co.uk/webmon/).
They're useful because automatically checks updates/changes in remote sites and notify me about them. Watznew is the best one, but it isn't free... 2) I'm an happy dqsd user so... what do you think about the possibility to extend dqsd to support website/news monitoring? It should with monitoring definitions (like search definitions) and would let, with a behaviour similar to the new release notification, to monitor RSS filechanges, WML changes or HTML changes. I'm not asking you to do this (as I can do this in my spare time), I'm only asking you for critics, suggestions, opinions about this application of the Dave's work :-) Do you think it would be possible to have a crontab like thread that download links locally and compare the with previous version opening a notification window about the news it found ? (sorry for my poor english :-/) -b- ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: OSDN - Tired of that same old cell phone?
