Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: DQSD interferes with address bar Initial Comment: When the Quick Search is active inconjunction with the address bar, the address bar does not behave as it should. There are 2 things that I have found, a) when you paste text into the address bar it is pasted twice. b) when I type in part of the url that I want to go to and because it is in my history it fills the select box with items that contain that text I have entered... now as soon as I use the cursor keys to try and select the particular url I am wanting it stops on the first item and uses it to rebuild the list.... this is not the normal action. Both of these problems do not occur when I remove the Search toolbar. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Tony White (tonywhite) Date: 2002-09-19 08:00 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=475560 Hi Glen, Sorry for not getting back to you sooner, I haven't had a chance to test the new version (I assume you have done a new version by now...) but a suggestion that might assist in seeing the problem 'a' I mentioned is to enable both the address bar and the search bar, reboot and try it... (I think I found this showed the problem.... cause I stopped using the search bar (cause I use the address bar more andusually...) however I seem to remember I did some testing again and found that it was nolonger a problem... the rebooted and found it was still a problem... I would have posted this sooner but forgot what my username for this was... etc... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2002-09-11 08:50 Message: Logged In: NO a) That doesn't happen in any of my PCs (Windows XP Pro) b) Fixed on the latest version!!! Yippi! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Glenn Carr (glenncarr) Date: 2002-08-07 09:02 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=18127 I don't see (a) on two of my Win2000/IE6 machines. I do see (b). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Tony White (tonywhite) Date: 2002-08-05 13:40 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=475560 I get this problem under Windows XP, and it Windows NT... however since NT bluescreened on me before I had rebooted I don't have it installed currently... and would rather not do so until the problem is solved. cause I use the address bar alot! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Glenn Carr (glenncarr) Date: 2002-07-31 23:13 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=18127 I can't reproduce this on 2000 with IE6.
