Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Glenn Carr (glenncarr) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: disappearing tray icons Initial Comment: Several have reporting missing tray icons (the apps are running, but their tray icons don't show) if the search bar is adjacent to the tray icon area. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2003-06-05 11:00 Message: Logged In: NO I've solved this problem by making an AutoIt batch file to wait 40 seconds after being run at startup. Then it loads all of the problem icons. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2003-02-04 17:11 Message: Logged In: NO I think the toolbar is great, but this bug is why I'm not using it. Please fix it!!!!!!!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Thad Kerosky (thadk) Date: 2002-08-30 18:50 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=97620 >From my experience the icons sometimes disappear when the search bar isn't adjacent as well. (XP). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2002-08-28 16:03 Message: Logged In: NO [running XP/IE6] I found that the tray display of DSQD obliterated my double-computer-thingey-Icon; which I need click to see what speed I'm loading @, & to order Disconnects, when Autodisconnect doesn't appear. Also, with DSQD, Autodisconnect ceased-appearing; so the only way to Disconnect was to Reboot! So, I uninstalled DSQD... Running version sent out last night, 8/27/02 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2002-08-07 23:09 Message: Logged In: NO I am running into the same problem. However, only "certain" program icons don't make it into the tray. Others reliably appear. I have my task bar on the left (vertical) and the search field is not next to the tray icons (which are on the bottom of the task bar) System: Windows 2000 with SP2, running on a Sony PCG-C1XS, 400MHZ, 128MB RAM, 25% of disk is empty. It should create a floating 'tool' window. You might also need to resize it so that the text field is visible. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2002-07-30 20:54 Message: Logged In: NO I move the search bar to the left, and I still loose ICONs. Is there a way to make the Search Bar a Pulloff type window, like some windows programs have for command bars? Just an Idea. Vern ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2002-07-30 10:14 Message: Logged In: NO They disappear if the search bar is aligned to the right (if the bar moves left/right when an icon appears/disappears. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=432066&aid=562411&group_id=42081 ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Etnus, makers of TotalView, The best thread debugger on the planet.
