You could always edit your aliases.txt and then make it read only.  That
way the next install won't blast over it.  It changes so infrequently
that you don't need it overwritten on install anyway.

Just a suggestion as a quick work around.  I'm sure the better solution
would be to code it not to squak at you.  But beyond my ability.
