I hope this message is not too basic for the list but I've spent 3 hours trying to track down an answer online an so far no luck so I thought I'd see if any of the experts here have an idea. I wasn't sure if this belonged in the devel list or user list but it is development so I choose devel. I'm trying to add a new search to dqsd, it's for a Japanese dictionary. The problem is it requires JIS to be sent to it as escaped codes. In other words, to look up the word kaihatsu in Japanese I'd send %1B%24B3%2BH%2F%1B%28B I made a je.xml file and put the code in to send the form but dqsd sends is entitified unicode. Any idea how to convert to JIS from Javascript and how to send it escaped the way above? Thank you -Gregg Tavares
