Hmmmmm. That makes sense *but* doesn't the help tool require access to the DQSDTools object (dqsdlauncher in context) in order to toggle state on searches? We could build the results as a static file and save it out *if* the script were given permissions to write locally. [whining] Man, this whole securing-an-app-that-uses-IE-while-not-screwing-up-the-security-of-I E thing is a PITA. [/whining] I really think we need a windows form for manipulating settings and renaming the searches. Script and HTML just aren't powerful enough under strict limitations. It's no wonder that the Google Deskbar has it's own forms - they must have realized this and built their app around this flaw already. They have limitations in their scope, though. It's possible to generate the interface on the fly the same way as the script does it, enumerating objects and adding references and setting properties based on the data you retreive. If we're going to extend the abilities of the deskbar to this extent, however, I think we ought to add a mini-browser type interface as well to bring us up to par with Google. That's the only (valid) complaint I've ever heard by Google Deskbar people of DQSD. There's the set-system-wide-keyboard-shortcuts thing too, but I don't think it's a big deal. Regards, Shawn K.
