I took the chance and uninstalled my perfectly stable 3.1.9.2 from my Windows 2000 Pro desktop which I use - well - it's my life. Of course, I backed it up first. Install went mostly smooth. It took about a full minute (of refreshing the desktop) before the option for "DQSD Deskbar" appeared in the context menu for the task bar. Moving it around and placing it where I use it was the same. No changes there. I tested a half dozen of my critical searches. They all worked perfectly. Even the funky stuff that lives entirely locally (like "floax", "vbsx" and "jsx"), and searches that post to secure servers, or use multiple event transactions like the "dq" search I wrote a couple years ago (and fixed a couple weeks ago). Then I tried F8 to search my history. Nuttin'. It's not working. I can scroll through them using up and down arrows, like before, but I frequently used to use F8 to search the history for entries that matched the text I had already typed. No luck under 3.2.0a, it just doesn't work. What other keyboard accelerators are affected? While I'm going to dearly miss that ability (until it's reintegrated), that alone is not a show-stopper for me. It seems stable, reloads MUCH QUICKER and correctly performs all the other searches and functions I tried. Excellent job. Remember though, that I'm one of those archaic nutes still using Windows 2000 - so I haven't installed or tested it under XP...yet. I'm off to go try it out on a spare XP machine in a few minutes, to see if it'll avoid that security warning. But here, on mine, it works almost perfectly. Thank you, Shawn K.
