I agree
the new help format is easy on the ol' eyes.. very
nice..
We could
probably make a little more use of the stylesheet in
defining
the subtables. I added a couple of style elements in
the
'helpbox' class to avoid defining the cellspacing, cellpadding
and
borderwidth for each table.. There might be other
css
elements
we could define to make things simpler.. I
dont
know css
that well..

and updated them to use the new help format. I find the new format to be
very pleasing on the eyes, especially on searches with a multitude of
switches.
So far, I have only reformatted searches that use switches; the rest I
have left because I question whether it is worthwhile adding a table to
each just to make the examples look nice. However, I have formatted the
CNET download search to see what it would look like, and I do think it
brings a pleasing conformity to the help/qsfind windows. I would be
willing to proceed through the rest of the searches to add this new
formatting, as I plan to do with the rest of the switch-utilizing
searches anyway. Any thoughts?
I also did a lot of fixing on the Borland Newsgroup search to use the
new parseArgs function and clean it up a lot as a result. (No offence
Tom, it's much, much simpler this way!)
The searches I have updated so far are: bn, cpan, dl, hs, pcm, zdn
I also fixed a bug in qsfind that would cause a pop-up to appear listing
every search available instead of the usual About window when spaces or
tabs were entered after the 'qsfind' command.
That's all for tonight,
Ryan

The ZDNet search included in 2.5.8b4 no longer functions (I don't know
how long it has been this way). I have committed a fixed version to CVS
that works properly and is much simpler. It also utilizes the new style
of help formatting for better readability.
The PC Magazine search also has a better formatted help entry as well.
Enjoy. Ryan
