I was thinking today, considering the extreme number of huge changes since even version 2.5.0, that maybe we should be at version 2.6.0 or higher by now.
It’s not a major point, but usually the third digit in the version number is used to indicate minor changes like bug fixes. The features we are regularly including in each release would normally qualify for a change in the second or even the first number. Even the features we have added in 2.5.8 so far (cascading menus, QSFind, pop-ups, every search updated, etc.) should qualify for something more than a minor revision increase.
Of course, this might just be Dave’s ideology towards version numbers. It’s all IMO.
