I interpreted Tim's message to mean "is there a way to manually override the reusebrowser window setting when submitting a search?"    Maybe shift-return could open the search in a new browser window regardless of the configuration settings..    Of course all this is moot to anyone not using IE as their default browser..

It should do this by default if you are using a fairly recent version.  Check your preferences...

Is IE your default browser?  I use IE as my default and it opens a new window with this setting for each search.

Is there a way to force the deskbar to open a search or URL that you have typed in a new browser window?  (Like holding down shift and clicking a hyperlink on a web page)

 

Most of the time it is desirable for the search results or URL to open in an existing window, but sometimes it isn't.  It would be nice to be able to override this behavior...
