I'm not seeing this, but it is the behaviour you get if the window.close() I put in version.js fires. Normally there's a message box displayed first as a warning (under IE6, at least), but I wonder if something's happening during boot to suppress messages from the script. Could you try removing the window.close() from version.js and seeing if the problem still occurs?
