After I installed DSQD (v.3.0) on my Win XP, it didn't appear on taskbar ! As I found out, the reason for it was that my taskbar was locked (option "Lock the Taskbar", you can see/change it if you right-click taskbar). Unlock toolbar, resize DSQD as you like, and lock toolbar again, and you're set.
