Tom Corcoran and Paul seem to be having the same basic problem, maybe. I'm curious to know if they upgraded, what version of DQSD did they have prior.
Then my suggestion is to temporarily move all their local files (localsearch.css, localprefs.js and localaliases.txt) out of the DQSD directory. If they then reload DQSD, does the problem go away? If so I'm thinking that there is probably some conflict with a search shortcut and localaliases.txt... or something. Play around with this stuff and let us know if it helps.
