If you have exactly what you've got in your message, then it won't work because
the case of the preference variable is different. Try changing:

Clocklongform = "EEE MMM d, yyyy h:mm.ss A "

to:

clocklongform = "EEE MMM d, yyyy h:mm.ss A "

Subject: [DQSD-Users] Localprefs does not work

I am using Dave's Quick Search Deskbar on my Windows 98 IE 6 sp 1 system and all
operating functions seem normal.
I tried to add seconds to the clock display "Clocklongform = "EEE MMM d, yyyy
h:mm A " by copying it in localprefs.js, changing the time to ( h:mm.ss ), and
activating with the " ! ". Even a reboot did not help. I could only make it
function by changing the " preferences.js " file.
Does my system need some other files to make the localprefs work ?
Bob
