John, Sorry it has taken so long to post a reply. I've been waiting for someone more knowledgeable to reply. Apparently they, like me, have been very busy lately. Anyhow, I'll try and answer what I can until others step in.
Q1. I don't really know the answer. Sorry. Can I assume, you've tried reading the description in preferences.js? Also did you refresh DQSD by entering a ! in the text box after every change of localprefs.js file? Q2. I can think of a couple of ways to do this. 1. write a batch file to do it then set up a shortcut to call it from DQSD. 2. there is a multi search function in DQSD. Enter ?multi in the DQSD text box to see its description. I've never really used it so I'm not real sure how it works. Q3. Hmmm sorry. Q4. Sorry again. Q5. I think auto complete only does an autocomplete of history items like the address bar in IE. It doesn't do a look ahead auto complete like the Windows Run text box does.
