This is happening because the '+' symbol is a shortcut for the mapquest search.. The regex that identifies the shortcuts should maybe be modified to require a space around them.. I dunno.... BUT in the interim, you can execute your search using the google 'gg' shortcut. example: "gg g++" works fine...
