The way it is now, this simply isn't feasible.

Perhaps (in the new version?) a new folder could be created that had
'autosearches' in it that would be run on every call (assuming that no
other autosearches eval'ed it first), so we wouldn't have to edit the
search.htm file?

It's really only an addition of two lines to the search.htm file to
add it manually there.

Or, if you prefer, you could edit the curr.xml file (since the
autodetect_currency function is going to run anyway - it's already
referenced in search.htm) and co-opt that file for your own searches.
Move it to local searches though so it doesn't get destroyed on
upgrade. ;)
