If you mean 'October 2003, Cumulative Patch for Internet Explorer 6 Service
Pack 1 (KB828750)' then i don't have that installed and i still see the
same behaviour as you two do.

IE shows:
IE Version: 6.0.2800.1106
Update versions: SP1; Q324929, Q810847, Q813951, Q813489; Q330994; Q818529;
Q822925

It does seem to be a pretty recent thing but i spend most of my time in
Firebird these days so i can't pin point a time.
